All I want for Christmas is… GREAT SKIN!

We all know when winter approaches our skin starts to look tired or very dry, and it really is not something you want. It’s all about that Winter glow and walking into 2019 with a fresh, new and bright look! Fortunately for you, I bumped into the perfect little treat.

As some of you that do follow me on Instagram, I go by the name @DivineBeautyIG (do feel free to follow), several weeks ago I attended a Vegan Fest Market. I came across food stalls, a lot of food stalls, soaps, clothes, art, fitness, chocolates, and beauty companies that were all naturally made and vegan friendly. This is where I came across Tropic Skin care. Now this brand has been going on for a while and it had caught the eye of Lord Sugar himself. A lady named Susie Ma, The founder of Tropic Skin care started off in her kitchen and brought this to Lord Sugars table in 2011. I wont go into detail but her story is very inspirational.

Tropic Skin care believe in all natural ingredients, yet vegan! The ambassador told me that although you are using an amazing product and it’s vegan, is it actually helping your skin? I stopped to think, and realised that majority of products we use today may not include animal products, may also have a lot of chemicals and not be as natural as they say. This is why I liked the sound of Tropic Skin Care. It’s all natural and it gives you what you need for your skin!

Anyways, I picked up this nice little Discovery Kit. This includes:

• The Smoothing Cleanser- Complexion Purifier (50 ml)
• Vitamin Toner – Pore Refining Mist (30 ml)
• Skin Revive – Nourishing Cream Concentrate (15 ml)
• Super Greens – Nutrients Boost Oil (5 ml)
•  Bamboo Cloth

And it all comes inside a nice little bag!

Let’s talk products!

I’ve tried to rank them them in order of favourites, because I really liked them all. I haven’t ranked the cloth because I love it and its not really a product but as it comes with the kit I have given my opinions on it below the rest.

1. Vitamin Toner – LOVE IT!  You just pray it on your face after cleansing or moisturising and it locks it all in. Guess what it has in it?…I’ll give you a clue, It’s my favourite natural ingredient ever… that’s it, Aloe Vera. Best thing to sooth the skin is Aloe Vera, it also has Vitamin C and Cranberry extract. It really is filled with Vitamins. Cant fault this product, I really like it. I have to say, even though it is a spray, its very soft on the skin, it doesn’t just burst it out onto your face, it’s even and soaks in nicely, just like mist.

2. Skin Revive Nourishing Cream – A little goes a long way! I used it day and night, and my skin is very healthy looking. It moisturises, adds the extra oils but isn’t greasy at all!. Light weight and a good morning routine, no makeup day kind of product. It also has, hyaluronic acid, kakadu plum and raspberry seed oils. Very Tropical! Smells it too! It does what it says on the tin, I quite like it because it does give that radiant look that you need and so good for the dry skin days, especially for the winter!

3. Cleanser- A cleanser that leaves your skin super smooth? Why not! I had no hesitation in using it because I know it’s natural and vegan friendly! It is made from green tea extracts, golden jojoba and eucalyptus leaf oils. Green tea is so good for the skin, if you cant drink it, put it on your face. By adding the oils in really enhances the tropical smells however, this does have the slightest bit of a chemical tinge to it.  So scent wise, not amazing, but It’s okay, I’d use it. It really get’s rid of everything on your face and it acts like a soap, so you wash your face with the cleanser then wipe away excess with the bamboo cloth. This product actually says use over the eyes, I was a bit apprehensive but I did, as you would with any makeup remover, this does it too!

4. Super Greens oil – When doing my night routine I think this was the best to go to sleep in. Really soaks in well, and keeps it moisturised all night. My skin in the morning looks amazing. In the discovery kit, you only get 5 ml, which meant that I had to use it wisely, because it’s very easy to over use the oil as I didn’t feel it spread very well all over the face and neck, but when I had it on it really is a good product to let soak in over night. The reason I say over night, is because I felt it could be too heavy for the day, but I wasn’t too fond of the scent. It’s quite flat and dry and not what you’d expect tropical smells to be like, considering the other products in the kit are quite flowery and fruity. I think this is due to having broccoli and kale oils in it as well as other leafy green oils along with Vitamin C. So, the product itself  definitely does you good, is very moisturising and kept my skin thick and bright, overnight (ideal for Winter).

I’ve used these products for a couple of weeks now, and I’ll finish the list with the cloth… I’never really liked the thought of constantly using a cloth to remove make-up and then reusing that even after washes, BUT, I DO NOW. I usually use wipes or completely wash my face and just dry with a cloth, but using this cloth to help remove impurities was a good shout! Bamboo cloths are really soft and easy to clean. It wasn’t rough on the face and did the job. All I did was followed instructions, wash with cleanser and remove with damp cloth. Nothing fancy just works like a treat!

I will be continuing to use these and I just love how natural they are! Vegan Friendly is the way to go but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good for you, so remember when you buy your products if you don’t know what it is research it or don’t use it.
