Skin Care

… Night Skin Care Routine …

Kicking it off, again, with skin care.

Some of you may or may not know that in the past I have gone through times where my face is just not co-operating. Just waking up and thinking, how am I going to cover that?

Blemishes, marks, spots, mountains, the Himalayas, The Alps, and those horrendous raccoon eyes, dark circles. Ew right?!

Yes, ladies and guys, we all go through this stage and if you don’t, then it is still good to maintain a healthy skin to prevent anything like the above from happening.

I’d like to just clarify and write a tiny disclaimer; I am no expert, or professional or is this a sponsored post. I write this so you all can relate and don’t have to suffer or cake on makeup and lather your skin in harsh chemicals to get rid of something you don’t want.

Okay. First, let me just say everything that happens to you face is a natural process so don’t panic or feel Ew about yourself when something pops up on your face in the morning. Relax. I used to feel so ugly and horrible about myself and felt the whole world staring at me because I had this huge spot on my face that can’t avoided. Well, it’s true, people do look because that’s just life and people are dumb until it hits them too. BUT if you can relate then keep reading. Here’s my night time routine to make sure I have a healthy glowing face in the morning…

Additional to the food and water intake and exercise and good night sleep, I like to do this little extra 5 minutes routine before I go to bed, to ensure a clean face in the morning. And here are my steps:

(These are my personal preferences, please be careful putting anything on your face especially if you have sensitive skin like myself and test things out. We DON’T like allergic reactions or any type of rashes especially on the face!)

Pure 3 in 1 make-up removal wipes

1. Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse! Wash your face and use facial cleansing wipe to remove excess dirt, makeup, and anything that shouldn’t be there. Clean it! With my facial wipes I tend to use the Nivea facial wipes as they moisturise your face and deeply cleanse it all in one wipe. BUT it is good to change it up once in a while so right not I am using the Pure 3 in 1 make-up removal wipes. These are so good for deep cleansing and I think are the next best thing after the Nivea wipes. They even have Aloe Vera in them! My favourite!

2. Double cleanse! – My favourite products are boots No.7

products especially makeup and skin care wise. So my next step would be to take a little bit of the No.7 Soft and Smoothed Gentle Cleanser and just wipe and massage that over my face with a cotton pad just get that soft and hydrated feel as well as it definitely being cleansed. I use this product a lot and I do recommend it because hydrated skin is always a good thing and I do feel this cleans my face really well. If there’s a little makeup left it will take that right off nicely without irritating and scrubbing at my face forever.

No.7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner

3. Toning! – Next step is to pair my cleansing with a little toning. No.7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner works a treat. Again just take a little onto a cotton pad and just sweep all over your face and done! Literally a 2 second job. And works amazing. Really helps with uneven skin tones and refreshes your face again hydrating, cleansing and treating at the same time. It’s great!

Bio oil

4. Massage (optional) – This is optional depending on your skin type. Bio oil is amazing for marks and dark circles and is well known for removing stretchmarks but also works wonders on your face! I wouldn’t particularly use this is you have oily skin but I would consult someone before you use this in your routine. I do recommend adding this into your night routine every other day or so to keep that moisture and firmness in your skin as well as treating the uneven skin tones and marks, over time. It’s simple, you only need a tiny amount and just gently massage into your face with your hands.

5. Under-eyes! – If you’re like me, Low in iron or it’s hereditary, or you just don’t sleep, then this step in crucial. If you are Asian, don’t panic, this is quite common in Asian skin, and like myself cannot get rid of dark circles, they’re a pain, I feel you. But ever since I’ve been treating it with these No.7 creams they’re getting lighter so I’m sharing this with you. Girl, I got you!

No.7 Early Defence Eye-cream

The No.7 Early Defence Eye-cream works amazing and I recommend. You don’t need a lot. A small dot of cream and massage with your ring finger in an inwards motion towards the inner corners of your eye. But like any other cream, you either run out or it stops having an effect. For me, it ran out and I wanted to try something new so I went with the No.7 Dark Circle Corrector.

Now this is great in the morning before putting on makeup to as well as before you sleep. It’s a tinted cream that does what it says. Corrects your dark circles. It comes with little rollers you can squeeze a little out and apply it directly onto your under eye area, gently. Let me point out, it says you can see results in 2 weeks, let’s be real, only a handful of people will be able to see that but it takes a lot longer especially if you have intense dark circles like myself. Truth hurts, sorry. But it does work so I LOVE IT! Be patient, it’s a long term treatment. (Because this area is so delicate, the best way to apply it is with your ring finger and slowly massage it in.)

6. Finally- Night Treatment Gel!– A boots own brand that contains Tea Tree and

Witch Hazel and just works amazing for spots. Use it like a normal moisturiser and just massage into and all over your face, especially on those blemishes. In the morning you walk past the mirror and you will ask yourself, is that me? Jokes, well maybe. But it works, I’ve been using this for years and it genuinely works. Calms those horrible spots down and you feel fresh in the morning. (click on the link ^^ to find out more!)

So hopefully these tips work for you and give it a go!

Not everything listed will work exactly how it worked on my skin as everyone is different, so please test it out before anything. But I, myself have sensitive skin and these products work a treat! So go ahead and all of these products are available from Boots, and the Pure Wipes are available at most shops such as Bodycare and Superdrug!

Remember you are beautiful either way, don’t let one little hiccup put you down, there are ways to treat it and own it, because it’s natural! Do Not Worry.

And Remember, Keep Smiling!

xoxo
