Healthy self, healthy skin!

There are so many products on the shelves now to help repair imperfections and help your skin looking flawless, but these products can only do so much. It’s down to you to keep yourself healthy to reduce the amount of marks, spots, rashes etc.

Where to begin?

Well it’s really simple, cut down on the junk, the oily and fatty foods and try eat more fruit and veg!

Fruits and veg are the natural source of the correct amount of sugar vitamins and minerals you need, there really is no harm by eating these. For those who find vegetables revolting to consume…switch it up a bit. Add flavour, the way you like it and trust me they are delicious and definitely healthy for you. There are so many options in what to eat and they can all do well for you from the inside and have an amazing effect on your skin. There are also so many fruits that you could possibly try, there’s Apples, Bananas, Pears, Pineapples, Mangoes, Strawberries, Watermelon and the list goes on. The good thing is you only have to choose a five of them, and if you like you can make a little fruit salad with them…mmm yummy! In fact whilst you’re reading this, go and grab your self an apple or something to munch on as a snack!

But just eating fruit and veg isn’t the only thing you need to remember. You also need to know the importance of drinking water. 

What does water do?

  • Well first of all it will definitely keep you hydrated, so much better than a bottle of a fizzy drink, the sugar in those drinks is shocking!
  • Secondly, when you hydrate yourself with water, your kidneys will start to remove excess fluids and this way your kidneys will stay good as new!
  • Water can also be a good energizer for your muscles, this is why when working out it is good to drink a good amount of water. When you sweat the water can replace the fluid that you lost so you are not dehydrated and end up feeling dizzy or collapsing somewhere.
  • Finally Water is the best for your skin looking healthy and giving it a good glow! Your skin already has a lot of water locked in, and acts as a barrier to prevent fluid loss so by drinking water daily you keep hydrated and your skin moisturised!

A little tip…

To help you guys keep up with a healthy diet every morning make yourself a salad to go with your lunch and don’t forget to pack couple of fruits to snack on throughout the day. One more thing, keep a 2 litre bottle filled with water, so you can drink this on the go! 🙂

So to get and maintain healthy looking skin, you need to have a healthy working body. Fruits, veg and water are so important in your diet, but there must be a balance so five fruits, veg and 2 litres of water a day! Personally I wouldn’t stop myself from treating myself with yummy chocolates but I would control how much I eat. Everything in balance guys, everything in balance!

Go and cook up something healthy and yummy and drink plenty of water!
